About Us

Who we are

QuranTracker started as a family project for ourselves and our children. We'd been using diaries, charts, bits of paper, stickers, posters, colour-in logsheets etc. but with these we were only able to monitor our new memorisation. We could not find something to effectively track both hifdh and revision together.

Why QuranTracker?

The Prophet (sall-Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said:

It is a bad thing that some of you say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such verse of the Qur'an,' for indeed, he has been caused (by Allah) to forget it. So you must keep on reciting the Qur'an because it escapes from the hearts of men faster than camels do. [Saheeh Al-Bukhari]
Keep on reciting the Qur'an, for, by Him in Whose Hand my life is, Quran runs away (is forgotten) faster than camels that are released from their tying ropes. [Saheeh Al-Bukhari]

A huge challenge in memorising the Quran is balancing between retaining what you have already learnt while continuing to learn new portions. Alhamdulillah today there are numerous websites and tools available to help in memorising and studying the Quran but we found very little to help with managing memorisation and revision together. So the idea of QuranTracker was born; a simple yet dynamic, visual system which allows you to manage both hifdh and revision effectively inshaa Allah.

The future

We sincerely hope and pray to Allah that the current version of QuranTracker provides various features to help people to make better progress with the Quran. We also plan to add more features in the future inshaa Allah to make QuranTracker an even better tool. We hope this humble effort will contribute towards the noble goal of raising the Word of Allah to the highest.
